Privacy Policy

Tusk Digital Ltd ("we", "us") is a New Zealand company based in Tauranga. This policy explains how we collect, use and look after personal information, as required by the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect, and where from

Information you give us. When you fill in a form on one of our websites, we collect the details you enter: typically your name, phone number, business type, town and email address. When you email or ring us, we keep the correspondence.

Information from public sources. As part of finding businesses that may benefit from our services, we collect publicly available business information: business names, publicly listed phone numbers, towns, trade categories, and review counts from sources such as Google Business Profile listings. We record where information was obtained.

Phone calls. If we record sales or support calls, you will be told at the start of the call. Recordings are used for training and record keeping.

Website analytics. Our websites use Google tags to measure advertising performance (for example, that a form was submitted or a phone number was tapped). These tools use cookies. They do not give us your identity from browsing alone.

What we use it for

• Responding to your enquiry and providing services you ask for
• Contacting businesses about our services
• Invoicing, account administration and record keeping
• Improving our websites and measuring advertising
• Meeting our legal obligations

We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing email to addresses harvested by automated means, and we honour requests to not be contacted again.

Who we share it with

We use reputable service providers to run our business, and personal information may be stored or processed by them, including outside New Zealand:

• Form handling (Web3Forms)
• Customer records (Zoho, with data centres in Australia and the US)
• Email and documents (Microsoft 365, Australia region)
• Website hosting (Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare)
• Advertising measurement (Google)
• Payments (Airwallex and our bank)

Where information is held overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is protected by safeguards comparable to New Zealand's Privacy Act. We do not otherwise disclose personal information unless you authorise it or the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above, or as the law requires (for example, tax records for 7 years). Prospect records for businesses that ask not to be contacted are kept only to the extent needed to honour that request.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask us:

• What personal information we hold about you
• To correct it if it is wrong
• To delete it, where we have no lawful need to keep it
• To stop contacting you

Email admin@tuskdigital.co.nz and we will respond within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

Security

Access to personal information is limited to people who need it for their work. Systems are protected by access controls and multi-factor authentication.
